A: Some international date format settings cause this problem. A patch is available if you are using StartGen 3.1. Click here to download a special international version of the StartGen.exe file, and save it to your StartGen directory. Note that this version does not allow you to edit dates. They are assigned automatically based on the date the link is added or edited A more flexible handling of international dates will be available before the end of June, 1998.

A: (NOTE: This bug has been fixed in version 3.1) When creating a directory page, create it in your StartGen directory. The supporting frame pages are created in your StartGen directory regardless of where the main page is created. Otherwise, you will get "File not found" errors when you try to view the page in your browser.

A: StartGen's Share module can be used to email search forms, multi-url links or entire subjects to others. The Share module creates an ASCII version of the components that can be pasted into an email message. The recipient then copies the contents of the email message to the Windows clipboard and pastes it into the Share module's import form. Optionally, by selecting the "Web page" option, the share module will create a Web page containing the shared components. Paste the generated ASCII text to new Notepad file, save it with an "HTM" extension, and upload it to your Web site. Any visitor to your Web page can import the shared components from this page.

A: This problem occurs with older versions of some browsers. Download version 3.1, select "Options" from the "View" menu, specify the location of your browser and click "OK".
